Make your own play dough!

Project featured in Times-Republican

A fun-filled, green and creative activity to make learning and fun go hand in hand!

For each color what you will need
• 3 cups all purpose flour
• 3 cups of water
• 1.5 cups salt
• 3 tbsp of cooking oil
• Food coloring
• 6 tsp cream of tartar

  1. Pour all ingredients into a large saucepan.
  2. Stir constantly over medium heat until a dough ball forms by pulling away from sides.
  3. Take it off the stove to cool. Once it has cooled, knead it until it is blended smoothly and the texture starts matching play dough (approx 1-2 minutes).
  4. Store the dough in an airtight container. The dough can last up to 3 months.

A loving note from my daughter!

Sometimes you get discouraged because you think I'm small....
I always leave my fingerprints on furniture and walls.....
But everyday I'm growing up and soon I'll be too tall....
That those little fingerprints will be difficult to recall....
Maa, here's a little hand print that you can put away....
So you will know just how my hands looked on this loving day:)
Love you always!!

Happy times! Thanks so much for visiting and have a colorful day:)
