A loving note from my daughter!
I always leave my fingerprints on furniture and walls.....
But everyday I'm growing up and soon I'll be too tall....
That those little fingerprints will be difficult to recall....
Maa, here's a little hand print that you can put away....
So you will know just how my hands looked on this loving day:)
Love you always!!Happy times! Thanks so much for visiting and have a colorful day:)

Make your own green and non toxic sidewalk paints!
Project featured in Times-Republican
This reuse project is super fun and creative way to get kids involved into practical learning of creating paints from simple household items.
For each color what you will need
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup cold water
- Paintbrush
- Small jar with lid
- Food coloring (approx. 12-14 drops) or add more for desired color
1. In a jar mix together the cornstarch, cold water and food coloring. Place the lid tightly and shake until the contents are uniformly mixed.
2. Use a paintbrush to make fun designs on the sidewalks. To wash the paint off, simply spray the area with water.
A colorful drawing from my 6 year old daughter's notebook where she is trying to capture how her sidewalk painting will look like:)Happy times!

Spring blossoms pencil toppers - A super fun and creative reuse idea!
For this reuse project all you need is
- Pencil
- Play-doh bottle
- Coffee filter
- Markers or crayons
- Scraps of construction paper
- Pipe cleaner
- Tape
- Scissors
Using Scissors cut construction paper and tape it on Play-Doh bottle to cover the label. You can also stick colorful small torn pieces of construction paper using glue for mosaic like art.
Take a coffee filter. Using markers or crayons make colorful art on it. When done poke a hole on the center, insert pencil and tape the filter to the pencil end. You can also use a paper napkin or paper towel instead of coffee filter. Just cut in round shape using scissors.
Roll pipe cleaner on pencil.
Fill scarps of construction paper in the play-doh bottles and stick a pencil in it.
A very special thanks to Lori Sims Gardea for supporting colormehappy with wonderful reuse idea and supplies!

The cracked pot - An Inspiring story!

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of long walks from stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the women bringing home only one and a half pots of water.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.
But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.

‘I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.'
The old woman smiled,' Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of path, but not on the other pot's side?'

That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so your side of path is covered with flowers, and every day while we walk back, you water them.'
For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers and decorate my home!
Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the home.'
Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.
You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.
So, to all my cracked pot friends, have a great day and remember the beauty of flowers on your side of path!
